What will you do as a Quality Technician at Cadence?
The Quality Technician is responsible for training others in the proper handling and use of measurement equipment, performing product inspections and providing measurement support for manufacturing and engineering development projects. Other typical duties include maintaining the system of calibration for all measurement devices in the ISO calibration system, performing the incoming receiving function, and creating and updating measurement process work instructions.
Quality Technician Duties include:
Using precision measuring equipment and Coordinated Measuring Machine (CMM), perform quality measurements and inspections as required for sustaining products, including first articles and final inspections.
Create work instructions for measurement processes and assist in developing any necessary training documentation as required.
Perform product measurements to support product or process qualifications and support engineering development projects.
Plan and supervise the execution of Gage R&Rs to qualify measurement processes or equipment.
Train others in the proper use and handling of measurement equipment.
Manage overall gage calibration program to ensure that all measurement equipment is calibrated and functioning properly. Act as primary liaison with suppliers as required for purchase, repair, or calibration of measurement equipment. Maintain calibration records.
Generate non-conforming product and material reports, for both internal and supplier-related non-conformances. Communicate with suppliers regarding non-conformances identified and request Return Material Authorizations (RMA) as needed.
Lead and participate in internal quality audits.
What are we seeking in the ideal candidate?
High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer education beyond High School in a quality or engineering related program. Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred.
Quality function experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Experience with precision measurement equipment required.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications at an advanced level with a working knowledge of GD&T.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively train others.
Proficient in math.
Working knowledge of ISO 13485 or similar Quality Systems (ISO 17025 beneficial).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Experience with gage management software preferred.
CMM operation and some programing is preferred.
